The year 2008 proved to be successful and
productive for the Aeros team. Rapid advancement in the development of the
new type of variable buoyancy air vehicle, the Aeroscraft, and continued
excellence in production of FAA Type Certified Aeros 40D “Sky Dragon”
airships mark the achievements during another remarkable year.

Aeros successfully completes the flight demonstration of the buoyancy

Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Control of Static
Heaviness (COSH) program for Buoyancy Assisted Air Vehicle.
September, 2008 Aeros
is awarded a United States Department of Defense Defense Advanced
Research Projects Agency (DARPA) Aerostructure Demonstration contract
for Buoyancy Assisted Air Vehicle.
October, 2008
Aeros becomes a corporate sponsor of the United States Marine Corps
University.
December, 2008
The Aeros 40D “Sky Dragon” airship MSN –21 achieves the FAA
airworthiness certification.
