Aeros FAA Certification Program Gathers Speed as Aeros 40D “Sky Dragon”
Airship is Getting Ready for Flight Testing
With Successful
Development of the Aeros 40D Sky Dragon Airship, and entering FAA
Certification Process, Aeros is on the verge of a certifying another
airship.

The
production of the prototype S/N-20 airship is heating up with the
completion of the gondola assembly and system tests. The new “Sky Dragon”
will provide better utilities for its operators whether it performs
advertising, broadcasting, surveillance or tourism missions.
Aeros 40D
airship is about 160 ft long and has a useful load of over 2,000 lbs. The
predecessor, the Aeros 40B airship that was FAA Type Certified in 2000 is
a serious contender in the airship market and applauded by clients and
operators for comforts and user friendly systems. Aeros VP Mr. Edworthy
said: “Our goal is to always keep improving our products, setting the best
standards in the airship industry.”
With the production completion Aeros is scheduling the test flights for
July, 2006
driving aggressively towards FAA certification.
