On Thursday, November 10 the Special Anti Crime Unit of Trinidad and Tobago held a ceremony to recognize the achievements of their Airship Division. Thirteen of the division’s members received certificates for successful completion of Aeros’ Airship Ground Support Technician training; six certificates were presented for completion of the Aeros 40B mechanics training; as well, six other members received commendation for their accomplishments in mastering surveillance camera operations with the FLIR System’s Star Safire II. The courses and on the job training were conducted throughout the past six months by Aeros Ground Crew Chief Gary Fielding and Chief Mechanic Raymond Murillo A&P.

Major F.F.V. Diaz, director Air Operation gave opening remarks emphasizing the future missions and work that lies ahead to realize the full potential of the Aeros 40B’s capabilities.

Aeros VP Frederick Edworthy addressed the graduates and members of the Trinidad Unit with a congratulatory message, and a pledge of continued support to the Government of Trinidad as it leads the way in the implementation of high technology to combat crime in their island nation.

SAUTT director, Brigadier General Josephs followed Edworthy’s address with well spoken words of encouragement and praise for the Airship division’s personnel; as well as generously thanking the Aeros team for their part in the establishment and training of the Airship Division.

Following the certificate presentations, Aeros Chief Pilot, Corky Belanger thanked the group on behalf of Aeros’ team and recounted the accomplishments of six months as a chronological pictorial presentation allowed the guests to visualize the process.
