AEROS’ Airship Training Ops for the Ministry of
National Security of Trinidad and Tobago is acknowledged.

On Thursday, November 10 the Special Anti Crime Unit of Trinidad and
Tobago held a ceremony to recognize the achievements of their Airship
Division. Thirteen of the division’s members received certificates for
successful completion of Aeros’ Airship Ground Support Technician
training; six certificates were presented for completion of the Aeros 40B
mechanics training; as well, six other members received commendation for
their accomplishments in mastering surveillance camera operations with the
FLIR System’s Star Safire II. The courses and on the job training were
conducted throughout the past six months by Aeros Ground Crew Chief Gary
Fielding and Chief Mechanic Raymond Murillo A&P.
Major F.F.V. Diaz, director Air Operation gave opening remarks emphasizing
the future missions and work that lies ahead to realize the full potential
of the Aeros 40B’s capabilities.
Aeros VP Frederick Edworthy addressed the graduates and members of the
Trinidad Unit with a congratulatory message, and a pledge of continued
support to the Government of Trinidad as it leads the way in the
implementation of high technology to combat crime in their island nation.
SAUTT director, Brigadier General Josephs followed
Edworthy’s address with well spoken words of encouragement and praise for
the Airship division’s personnel; as well as generously thanking the Aeros
team for their part in the establishment and training of the Airship
Division.
Following the certificate presentations, Aeros Chief Pilot, Corky Belanger
thanked the group on behalf of Aeros’ team and recounted the
accomplishments of six months as a chronological pictorial presentation
allowed the guests to visualize the process.
The Aeros 40B Sky Dragon is the platform of choice for the Anti Crime
Unit’s surveillance missions over areas of their coast line and city.
