Worldwide Aeros announces an agreement in principle with CFEITC to launch
the Aeroscraft Market in China
LOS
ANGELES, CALIFORNIA and BEIJING, CHINA – DEC 14, 2005 –
Worldwide
Aeros Corp, the world’s leading manufacturer of FAA-certified
lighter-than-air vehicles, announced today that it has entered into a
launch partner agreement with China Far East International Tendering
Company (CFEITC) to develop and market a new family of freighting air
vehicles, called the Aeroscraft.
Said
Aeros’ president Igor Pasternak: “This agreement is the first result of
our trip to China with Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his “Made in
California Expo” that took place last month. On that trip we discovered
strong Chinese interest in using Aeroscraft vehicles for cargo,
advertising, touring, and broadcasting. When you ride the world’s fastest
train, the MagLev from the international airport in Shanghai and then see
the astonishing new buildings, fly over the amazing dam complex finally
taming the Yangtze River, or listen to reports of China’s bold new
ventures in space, you know that times have changed. If California
remains the center of global innovation, then China has become our natural
partner as the center for the application and deployment of the very
newest ideas and technologies.”
Said David
Cao, President of CFEITC: “The Aeroscraft is an exciting new technology
and just right for China which has moved to the forward edge of so many
advances. China has become one of the world’s most important
manufacturing centers in the global economy and now we need to match that
great capability with much more efficient transportation and delivery
system. We are excited to be able to participate in the early stages of
the Aeroscraft as the launch partner. Nowhere in the world is there a
greater need for a ship with the capabilities of the Aeroscraft to keep
China competitive for the “just in time” delivery of apparel and consumer
and industrial goods.”
The
agreement paves the way for Aeros to enter the China market with a partner
who has the local knowledge and marketing ability that is necessary to
work in the region. Also, the agreement gives CFEITC access to the first
production series Aeroscraft, as well as representation rights to Aeros’
other existing product line of aerostats and FAA certified airships.
Added
Pastenak: “Aeroscraft
will be a totally new kind of flying vehicle that derives its lift
partially from lifting gas and partially from the traditional dynamic lift
created by the advanced
shape of the body. Aeros has designed a craft that takes advantage of
both
methods of lift. The Aeroscraft has been designed to fill the very widest
range of missions and conditions, and is a perfect answer for the civil
aviation needs of China and the global economy.”
Characterized by its oversized payload bay, the Aeroscraft is
ideally suited to carry low density products like computers and
electronics, across oceans and continents, from warehouse to warehouse; as
well it can also be adapted to luxury tour travel, allowing an
exceptionally large space allotment to each passenger.
