Today Worldwide Aeros Corp’s newest airship model the Aeros 40D
successfully completed its first flights. The 153 feet long Aeros 40D is
a midsize airship and is designed to carry the largest payloads in its
category. The Aeros 40D is equipped with digital flight controls, a
camera for visual display of the ballonet level indicator, IFR approved,
all of which significantly reduces the pilot’s work load. The Aeros 40D
is capable of carrying 26X75 ft banners as well as EO/IR camera systems,
SAR radars and datalink equipment. In addition, the Aeros 40D offers
operators the most affordable cost of operations for any types of
missions, whether it is advertising, broadcasting, surveillance or
tourism.
After
successful completion of ground check procedures of the newest Aeros
branded airship – Aeros 40D Sky Dragon, Aeros’ pilots have begun flight
test activities, performing the first flight test today in San Bernardino,
CA. The airship took off from the San Bernardino air field at 10:00 a.m.
local time and was successfully put through a series of maneuvers to
verify its performance.
The first
flight test lasted 3 hours from takeoff to landing. The Aeros 40D circled
over the San Bernardino area before making a gentle landing after which,
pilots confirmed that the airship and engines handled as anticipated: “We
had a very successful first flight and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of
it. All systems and engines performed exceptionally”. Aeros will perform
several more flight tests over the next few weeks.
Worldwide
Aeros Corp. President, Mr. Igor Pasternak, was very pleased with the
airship’s
performance.

The Aeros
