Aeros Opens New Engineering and Manufacturing Facility.
Los Angeles, CA – September 10, 2007
Today Worldwide Aeros Corp,
the world’s leading lighter-than-air, FAA-certified aircraft manufacturing
company, announced the opening of a new engineering and manufacturing
facility focused on development of a new type of rigid, buoyancy assisted
air vehicle – the Aeroscraft. The new facility will also support
production of FAA Type Certified Aeros 40D Sky Dragon airships, advanced
tethered aerostatic systems, as well as accommodating US government
research and development programs.
The new
factory is located 10 miles from downtown Los Angeles. The
state-of-the-art facility will combine several operations under one roof,
making the research and development, engineering and production processes
more convenient. Aeros Vice President, Fred Edworthy said, “This new
facility will allow us to continue to solidify our position as the leader
and pioneer in our industry by developing and bringing a new type of air
vehicle – the Aeroscraft to the market”.
Mr. Edworthy
also added, “By consolidating prototype development and production, we
expect significant increases in overall efficiency. Having our entire
