Aeros Corp., the world’s leading airship manufacturer, has presented its
new development, the Aeroscraft ML866, at this year’s NBAA show in
Atlanta, Georgia. This was the first appearance of the company at this
event where the Aeroscraft ML866 has received a great deal of attention.
The Aeroscraft has unique
capabilities not available in other aircraft today. It is spacious, with
low operating costs, extended range and independent from airports. The
Aeroscraft ML866 can be utilized for different applications: private air
yacht, business office in the sky, commuting and sightseeing.
The Aeroscraft was the only
full blown aircraft project announced at this year’s NBAA show.
“It was my pleasure to
announce the launch of the Aeroscraft development program during the NBAA.
This new type of air vehicle, the Aeroscraft ML866, has received the
greatest welcome and a lot of interest, solidifying its place in the
business aviation market, and I am absolutely thrilled” said Aeros
President and CEO Igor Pasternak.
“We
decided to participate in the NBAA show because we have reached a level
where we would like to solicit input from the customer community to ensure
the ML866 will satisfy their requirements,” added Fred Edworthy, Aeros
Vice President.
The Aeroscraft is a
buoyancy assisted air vehicle with a rigid structure and gas cells. The
latest Aeros proprietary technologies – full authority direct organic lift
control (FADOLC), dynamic buoyancy management system, innovative structure
design and low speed control capability have resulted in the generation of
a fourth type of air vehicle. The exceptional features of the Aeroscraft,
such as vertical takeoff and landing, the capability to hover for extended
periods of time, independence from airports, large size payload
compartment, all weather operations and superb safety characteristics,
demonstrate its unique place in the market.
