AEROS INTRODUCES A REVOLUTIONARY TRANSPORT CATEGORY AIRCRAFT TO FAA

Canoga Park, CA - March 10, 2001
Aeros has embarked on their continuing vision to revolutionize air transportation with their most advanced project to date, the Aeros ML Hybrid Aircraft, known as an Aeroscraft. On March 8th, 2001, Aeros held another exuberant meeting at the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Long Beach, CA. Having previous experience working with the FAA through the recent certification of the Aeros 40B airship, Aeros continues to pursue FAA approval for its engineering feats through the production of "lighter-than-air" (LTA) vehicles. Maureen Moreland, Project Manager at the FAA, accompanied by a panel of specialists, was eager to meet with Mr. Igor Pasternak, CEO of Aeros, and his engineering staff, as they reviewed the certification requirements of the Aeroscraft in the more than three hour meeting for this assigned project.

Building on the experience and success of the FAA Certified Type Aeros 40B and after many years of research, development and manufacturing of airships and aerostats, the evolution of the Aeroscraft was predictable. The Aeroscraft "transport category aircraft" is capable of carrying up to 20 tons of cargo or 120 passengers. It is quiet, fuel-efficient, and can operate without standard runways.

The attraction of the Aeros ML Aeroscraft will not only be the 30% capital cost reduction that makes the industry take notice, but the overall 50% reduction in operating costs. The operating cost reduction will be headlined with a dramatic 50% savings in fuel consumption for the same capacity airplane. The benefit of providing hangar-less maintenance will prove to be an advantage for many operations without large maintenance facilities, as well as military operations in remote parts of the world.

The greatest opportunities of the Aeroscraft will obviously be in the area of luxury travel for vacationers, providing a unique and adventurous way of travel. The craft will also be popular in the domestic travel and cargo transportation industries. Mr. Pasternak believes that the benefactors of Aeroscrafts will be the Military, Oil and Gas, Timber, Fishing, Geology and Mining industries, and also in Agriculture, Environmental Protection, Emergency Relief, and exploration of remote and inaccessible areas, worldwide. Frederick Edworthy, Managing Director at Aeros asserts, "This evolving mode of transportation provides excellent entrepreneurial opportunities. The first company, who engages in this venture, combining proper exposure and good credibility, in order to gain a foothold of the market share, will be prosperous."

Formed in former Soviet Union in 1988, Aeros transferred its know-how to the United States and was incorporated in Delaware in 1992. In October 1993, the company relocated to California. Aeros' technical expertise is based on more than 20 years of research into the lighter-than-air technologies, with emphasis on cargo airship technology. The research initiated by the former Soviet Union Aviation Design Bureau, was continued by Aeros beginning in 1988. In March 1997, the Company participated in the US Marine Corps' Sea Dragon operation.

The company has pioneered many of the breakthroughs in lighter-than-air technology. Aeros has designed and constructed the world's fastest non-rigid airship (Aeros 50), the world's first ultra light airship (Aeros 20), the world's first airship kit (Aeros 40), the world's most advanced airship (Aeros 40B), and developed the world's first all-composite rigid cargo airships (Aeros D-1 and Aeros D-4) with lifting capacities of 14 and 125 tons, respectively.
