AMS -
Europe is the newest owner/operator of an Aeros 40B “Sky Dragon?
airship.
On
July 23, 2003 the team at AMS Europe began service in the skies of
France with their new Aeros 40B airship.
Since
its certification in June, 2000, the Sky Dragon has won numerous
accolades and praise for its new approach to airship design, passenger
comfort, crew workload and reliability. The Aeros 40B is 43 meters long
and has a volume of 2500 cubic meters. A digital flight controller and
automated pressure systems make the Sky Dragon a simple and easy airship
to fly and maintain.
"AMS-
Europe will be flying the most technologically advanced,
customer-oriented airship in the world,?said Igor Pasternak, president
Worldwide Aeros Corp. “This airship is an entirely appropriate
contribution to help AMS deliver to its customers a service that is
truly unique. Aeros congratulates the AMS team and looks forward to
supporting the European operation."
"This
inauguration of the Sky Dragon in France reinforces our position in
Europe’s growing airship market," said Fred Edworthy, vise president,
Aeros. “We are confident that as our product becomes better known, we
will secure additional orders."
